AI plugin for Android Studio and IntelliJ
Features an Inline editor and chat similar to Cursor. The Agent reviews code, runs code, tests, and edits files independently. There's an option to add custom instructions and an exclusion list via the firebender.json file.
According to the changelog, they started on 2024-12-03, then added code understanding on 2025-01-23, and agent mode on 2025-02-13. The Claude 3.7 Sonnet model has been used since 2025-02-26; they also offer Deepseek R1, OpenAI o1, and o3-mini.

I don't work in Android Studio, so I can't say much about it. The website is hastily put together, full of marketing bullshit and generic phrases: obviously designed to sell to an incubator, which they managed to do. The price is also listed as free — that's while they're getting funding. We'll see what happens next and whether they can create a stable product.
